SocialPulse Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using SocialPulse ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

SocialPulse is a comprehensive social media analytics platform that provides:

  • Social media account management and analytics
  • AI-powered content insights and recommendations
  • Automated reporting and scheduled reports
  • Multi-platform social media integration (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Billing and subscription management

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use SocialPulse, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Social Media Integration

4.1 Third-Party Platforms

SocialPulse integrates with social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.), as well as Twitter/X and LinkedIn. By connecting your accounts, you authorize us to access your social media data strictly in accordance with each platform's terms of service, developer policies, and our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Meta Platform Terms Compliance

When you connect Instagram or Facebook accounts, SocialPulse operates under the Meta Platform Terms (available at https://developers.facebook.com/terms/). By connecting a Meta-powered account you agree that:

  • We will request only the permissions necessary to provide the service (see §4.3 below)
  • Data obtained via Meta APIs will be used solely to provide, personalise, and improve SocialPulse features for you
  • Meta Platform Data will not be sold, licensed, or transferred to any third party for advertising, profiling, or data-broker purposes
  • Meta Platform Data will not be used to create or enhance advertising targeting audiences
  • We will not share, transfer, or sublicense Meta Platform Data to any party other than those described in our Privacy Policy
  • SocialPulse complies with Meta's Sensitive Data restrictions and will not process sensitive categories of personal data obtained via Meta APIs beyond what is permitted

4.3 Instagram & Facebook API Permissions

To deliver analytics and insights for connected Instagram and Facebook accounts, SocialPulse requests the following permissions. You will be shown the exact permission request during the OAuth connection flow and may decline at any time.

  • instagram_basic — read your Instagram profile, media, and basic account info
  • instagram_manage_insights — read impressions, reach, and engagement metrics for your posts and account
  • pages_show_list — list Facebook Pages you manage (required by Instagram Graph API)
  • pages_read_engagement — read engagement data (likes, comments, shares) for your Pages
  • read_insights — access Page Insights analytics data
  • business_management — (if applicable) read Business Manager account info

We do not request write permissions (posting on your behalf) and will never publish, delete, or modify content on your accounts without your explicit action within SocialPulse.

4.4 Data Access Scope

We access and analyze your social media data solely to provide analytics, insights, and reporting services. This includes:

  • Post performance metrics and engagement statistics
  • Follower and audience growth data
  • Impression and reach figures
  • AI-powered content recommendations based on your own historical data

4.5 Data Deletion — Meta Platform Requirement

Meta requires that we provide a mechanism to delete all data obtained from Meta APIs upon your request. You may submit a data deletion request at any time by:

  • Using the Delete Account option in your Dashboard → Settings → Account, or
  • Emailing privacy@socialpulse.co.in with the subject line "Meta Data Deletion Request"

Upon a verified deletion request, all Meta Platform Data stored by SocialPulse will be permanently removed within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete. Note that revoking our access via your Meta account settings (Facebook → Settings → Apps and Websites) is also effective immediately for new data collection.

5. Subscription and Billing

5.1 Subscription Plans

SocialPulse offers various subscription plans. Pricing and features may change with notice. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled.

5.2 Payment Terms

All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. We use Razorpay for secure payment processing. You agree to pay all charges associated with your account.

5.3 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use SocialPulse to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit harmful or malicious content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the service for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
  • Reverse engineer or copy our technology

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of SocialPulse are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of your social media content and data. By using SocialPulse, you grant us a limited license to access and analyze your data for service provision.

8. Data Privacy and Security

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

9. Service Availability

9.1 Uptime

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability.

9.2 Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any modifications to the service.

10. Limitation of Liability

SocialPulse is provided "as is" without warranties. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by User

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

11.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. We will provide notice when possible.

12. Third-Party Platform Policies

Your use of connected social media platforms is also governed by those platforms' own terms and policies:

SocialPulse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Meta Platforms, Inc., Twitter, Inc., or LinkedIn Corporation. All product names, logos, and brands are property of their respective owners.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delhi, India.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
